Hello

This could be due to number of reasons like kidney, liver or heart. I need to know about his other symptoms as well like shortness of breath, chest pain or if he has any problem in urination or any sort of liver problem in the past. Is he taking any sort of medications for aome other illnesses or not. I suggest to visit your doctor and let him decide what to test for and what to treat.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
