What Causes Swishing Feeling And Pain In Stomach?

My husband is 49 and for the past few months in an evening experiences a 'swishing' in his stomach as if its full of water, but he hasn't had much to drink (usually a couple of cups of black coffee during the day) he then feels very ill later during the night with cramping stomach pains. Can you help diagnose his problem please?

Your husband needs to be seen first by a gastroenterologist for taking a detailed history as well as an abdomen exam.He will have to undergo tests which will include an upper GI endoscopy , abdominal ultrasound and routine blood work, stool exam etc
It is not possible to diagnose with the short history you have provided.
in the meantime ask your husband to cut down coffee to 2 small cups per day
cut down on dairy and animal products eat a high fibre plant based diet .
Never skip meals.
These small changes might help him
