What Causes Swelling On Side Of Face And Fluid In Ear?

I ve had swelling on the left side of my face of and on for some time now. Doctor said I had some fluid on my ear. But, today noticed my temple on the same side swollen. Looks like a small knot. It doesn t hurt. I have had headaches but, not migraines. What I have noticed lately is memory loss. Completely forgetting things... Conversations, etc. Wrote it off as stress. Just wandering if I should be concerned.

Hello and welcome.

The swelling will have to be addressed by youe ENT specialist if at all it is related to the ear abnormality.

As for the memory loss, depending on your age and nutrient levels we can find the cause or if it is perfectly normal. Certain vitamin deficiencies like vitamin B12, B6, etc; can cause memory related issues. So please do check on the following. If all is found to be normal, a head MRI may be required.

Best wishes.
