What Causes Swelling On Left Leg And Headaches In Sinus Area?

My left leg, below the calf began to swell. It is usually swollen. Together with that symptom I now have headaches, usually in the sinus area but also sometimes together with pain at the back of my head, lower right.DVT has been ruled out but I have to take 600-1200 mg tablets of ibuprofen a day to get rid of the headache, which is 24 hours now.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If DVT has been ruled out the other main causes of unilateral swelling would be trauma, infection.

Bilateral swelling can occur as side effect of some medications, heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease.

If the ibuprofen is not helping the headache then there are alternative stronger medications.
This can be combined with a decongestant and anti histamine if the headache is thought to be related to the sinuses.

I hope this helps
