What Causes Swelling Of Varicose Veins Along With Small Lumps?

Yesterday, I had two veins in my upper leg pop, these were vericous veins, now there is a slight lump there, sore to the touch and red spot on the surface of the skin slightly feverish. Do I have any worry that this is a blood clot? Should I seek medical treatment?

Thanks for following up. Insuficiensy of vein's valves causus bad micro-circulation and swelling of legs. There are a lots risk factors:
Standing or sitting for a long time
Heredity or family history of varicose veins
Advancing age
Female gender(hormonal dysbalance from puberty, pregnancy, menopause, taking birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy)
Defective valves,especially in poplitea region
Trombophlebitis
Prolonged standing ( in occupations such as surgeons, dentists, nurses, beauticians, teachers, factory workers and others)
Prolonged sitting with legs crossed
Overweight
Wearing tight undergarments or clothes
A history of blood clots
Injury to the veins
Conditions that cause increased pressure in the abdomen( liver disease, ascitis, previous groin surgery, or heart failure)
I suggest you-
1.Take diosmin(venex 500 or venusmin 300 1 tablet 1 time in the morning before breakfast) during 2 month
2.For local therapy you can apply thrombophob 2 times daily during 1 month
3. Wear elastic stockings with mild compression
Hope I answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health!
