Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Unilateral limb edema with narrated data suggests more likely in relation to prolong dependency in a single position or compression at the certain angle with a compromised venous return.

Suggest as following:
• Keep that leg elevated over 3 to 4 pillows when resting
• Avoid prolong sitting in leg hanging position
• Keep the toes moving in rhythmic exercise pattern to and fro
• Watch for any signs of fever, redness over the leg or knee
• Maintain hydration with plenty of liquids, watch for urine output
• Give tab Tylenol

If possible get a total WBC count and serum creatinine report done and consult your doctor for further management as she may require a Doppler ultrasound of the affected limb as well after clinical evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
