What Causes Swelling Of Leg After Knee Replacement?

I had a total knee replacement in april whhich have had wholes in my skin since and recently my legg is red hot and swollen and is painful. Went to er yesterday and he only told me to Follow up with my surgeon . meanwhile a family friend whom is a nurse told me this looks like staph!

Hello,Thanks for your query.After going through your query I came to know that you are probably suffering from infection post knee replacement surgery. You are advised to take antibiotics according to culture and sensitivity of pus. If infection is not controlled then you may need to remove your implant and possible revision surgery.
