General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The intermittent swollen upper abdomen might be due to bowel problems especially if you have been suffering from constipation.

If your last visit with the surgeon was months ago, I advise to set another appointment and run an abdominal ultrasound for proper diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
