What Causes Swelling In The Ankles And Feet?
My husband is in good condition but dealing with trying to get his blood pressure under control. But starting two days ago his usually chicken size ankles and thin feet and legs are swollen. And complaining he feels like he doesn t have the same strength he had just days ago and instability in his right knee. He s 5 7 and weighs about 140lbs. 55yrs

Considering the history of hypertension, there are two possibilities, one of heart disease and secondly kidney disease leading to swelling of legs.
He should get Ecg, echo and kidney function test done.
He should have low salt, water intake. Regular exercises after bp is controlled. Medicine like tab furosemide 20 mg will help him in relief of swelling.
