What Causes Swelling In Ears After Putting New Stretchers?
Yesterday i happen to put in some new stretchers a bigger size obviously & well this mornjng i woke up & i have a very swollen ear its glossy looking & is very thick it even caused my neck to be in pain also i just wondered if its normal or if its infected
This is suggesting towards inflammation of soft tissue of your pinna. A bigger size obviously may overstretch the skin and cause subcutaneous tissue injury. And a new one have the possibility of carrying infection if not sterile. I often treat such case with removal of stretcher, cleaning with antiseptic solution, hot fomentation, anti inflammatory drug. Along with it a course of oral ciprofloxacin for possibility of perichondritis may be needed if local examination suggests.
