What Causes Swelling In Breast And Light Period With Brown Discharge?

Hi, im 26 years old and i have a 1 year old baby, well my ? Is, why do my breast have been swollen since my last period, i had my period 5 days ago and it was brown and it lasted 3days when normaly its 5-7 days long and its always heavy but this time it was light and short. And i dont use any brithcontrol.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
I can think of causes for your problem-
- If you are breast feeding Irregularity of periods & bleeding pattern is characteristic of lactational amenorrhea. The swelling of breast can be due to trauma/ thrust to breast tissue while breast feeding.
- In case you are not feeding your baby..and not using any contraceptive device ,pregnancy may cause your symptoms.
The differentiation will be by urine pregnancy test.
