What Causes Swelling And Tenderness In The Left Calf?

I have leg swelling in my left calf, slight tenderness. A DVT has been ruled out but during the exam for DVT they noted enlarged lymph nodes in both groins. I am healthy and 51 and this all came on suddenly. No other symptoms. My dr has ordered a CT scan without telling me why. I am concerned why when I feel fine otherwise and only symptom is the leg. I also had some bites recently on my abdomen which may be related as it all occurred after those happened. I don t know what bit me but I had 5 bites all together that swelled a lot and were painful and itchy for about a week. Am wondering what he could be concerned about and why the CT scan is necessary

Have you been anorexiac?

if the pain in the leg was sudden, then yes it does have something to do with the bite. which lymph nodes in your body are positive? are these only the inguinal lymph nodes? are they palpable on both sides or one side?The CT scan has been advised becauze the doctor wants to see if there are any other lymph nodes positive, and if this is associated with any other organ in the body.
Wait for the CT for now, and get back with the report and the answers to my question, and do not feel depressed or low.
