Last January I had a tender swollen lymph node by right collar bone. Had lots of tests, blood work, mammogram, thyroid checked and everything came back negative. It went away in about 5 weeks. Now my glands under my neck by my jaw (same ones that swell when you have a sore throat) are swollen and tender. My doctor gave me antibiotics but still there. Not sure what I should do? What can this be? Why has my glands swollen twice in less than a year? I m a teacher and strain my voice. By lunch time my gland area feels like something is ripped.
please do not be afraid. lymph node hypertrophy or enlargement is a very common sign of infection, though these are enlarged in other conditions also. tAKE ANTI INFLAMMATORY along with antibiotics. it will settle down. if still you are anxious, get FNAC done after a course of antibiotics
