What Causes Swelling And Puffiness In Palm While Suffering From Neuropathy?

I have swollen puffy palms at the base of my fingers that almost looks like they are pockets of fluid. It also burns badly. The only relief I get is from an ice pack. I do have neuropathy & I have had carpal tunnel & ulner nerve surgeries about 6 years ago. Other than that I haven t injured it . This isn t the first time it has happened but I can t pinpoint what is triggering it.
