What Causes Swelling And Pain At Incision Site After C-section?

I have swelling and pain above my c section incision site. The actually incision looks good but I am in a lot of pain from the swelling, which is more pronounced above the ends of he incision site than in the middle. No fever. Is this normal? Could it be a hernia? I m 3 weeks pp.

Hi, As per your symptoms possibility of hernia cannot be ruled out. It may be a hematoma. Stitch abscess may be another possibility. Since you don't have fever, so there may not be any abscess. Consult you operating surgeon or any other surgeon for opinion, thanks.
