What Causes Swelling And Itching In Vagina During Menstruation?

so I got my Monthly period and I was using the pass my mom got me and my vagina started to it a lot, so I stopped using that brand of pads. It s been about 4 days from when it first started itching and it hasn t gone away. And I just itched and right lower part of my bagina swelled up a bit. What do I have?

Hello,

What you are describing seems like a fungal/ yeast infection. That comes maybe because the brand of pads you used do not circulate the air very good. I suggest taking single dose of Fluconazole 150 mg or using Ketoconazole 2% cream for 3 days. Also wear cotton underwear and wash your vulva only with water, not with soap.
