What Causes Swelling And Inflammation On The Wrist After An Injury?
Hi I hurt my wrist on my entertainment center when it fell trying to get a TV cord out from underneath. It happened yesterday and it was just swollen from having something heavy on it . Now it looks red.swollen. hurts to move but can move in small circular motions so I am just concerned...
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM I have read and understood your concern.Sorry to hear you had an accident. Pain and swelling of wrist after an injury may be due to: -Muscle stress/strain -Sprain -Fracture I will suggest you get a wrist x-ray to eliminate a fracture. In the meantime, you may try the following: *Take a pain/anti-inflammatory drug aceclofenac *A local pain gel voltarene gel for application *You may bandage the wrist and avoid unnecessary wrist movement. If X-ray reveals any fractures, you see your Doctor for management. Hope this will help Wish you a speedy recovery. You may write back if more concerns Best regards
