The swelling and change in color of the skin to red-blue and some white below the belly button and above the thigh which is very painful indicates that you have severe cellulitis and may be an impending abscess. Get the following done for correct diagnosis and proper management: Consult a General Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations of blood to see for CBC for raised white cell count. High resolution ultrasonography and MRI can tell the exact diagnosis. Antibiotic and anti-inflammatory cover if cellulitis is present and incision & drainage if abscess has already formed.
