What Causes Suspicious Densities Left Upper Lung Field?

hi ! I had my chest x-ray result a while ago. The results says there are suspicious densities in the left upper lung field. The heart is not enlarged. Great vessel are not unusual. Both costophrenic sulci and hemidiaphragms are intact. The rest of the included structures are unremarkable. However, the impression is DEFERRED. SUGGEST APICOLORDOTIC VIEW. what does this mean?.. what kind of test is this?.. its sounds scary. In fact, I m really scared right now. The result made me feel anxious that it might be something serious. Pls. help me understand it.

Thanks for your on HCM. I am seeing many patients with similar problems. No need to worry. Upper lobe lesions are always confusing and most common causes are
1. TB
2. Pneumonia
3. Old TB lesion
4. Lung malignancy.
The problem with upper lobe in chest x ray is, moat of the area is hidden by clavicle and 1-2 ribs. So clear visualization is nog possible. That is why apicolordotic view is necessary. In this the x ray is taken in such a way that apex is clearly visible and no bony structure hinder the view.
So for better visualization of apical pathology, apicolordotic view is must. Other best option is CT thorax. So no need to worry, do as per your doctor's advice.
