What Causes Sudden Weight Loss?

my grandson is 15 he has lost 30-35 pounds in the last 2 months and is now down to 114 lbs and he is 5 8 tall, should we take him to his doctor to see why the sudden loss in weight he was NOT trying to loose weighe at the time. HE eats well but does not gain any weight back.

Weight loss at this age could be related toany of following
mal absorption syndrome
nutritional deficiency
parasite infestation
tuberculosis
cancer
HIV infection

i would advise you to take him to a doctor for clinical examination and battery of tests like hemoglobin CBC liver function yest and investigation to rule out aforementioned conditions which your doctor knows

add some food supplements to his diet
Fresh fruits fish and meat to be given regularly
