My outer ear has been hurting for hours. I feel a sharp regular pain, almost like a pulsing every 15 -20 seconds or so. It is painful enough to make me cringe or cry out. The pain feelis about an inch from the top of my outer ear andI lasts only a second or so, goes away and begins again. It started last night and I could hardly go to sleep. It is continuing now I am awake. There is no swelling. It does not feel warm.
