General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

What you are describing sounds like vasovagal syncope. Whether you experienced stress at that point, saw something that upset you(blood, an accident, etc.) or severe gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea or vomiting could set this off. I would suggest you keep a watch for this. Try clenching your teeth, or gripping your hands together if you feel this coming on. It counters the parasympathetic overstimulation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
