Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Sudden Pain In The Ankles Upon Bending The Toes?
I have a sudden onset of ankle pain that is aching and throbbing. When I bend my toes down its shoots pain all the way above my ankle. If I turn my foot in there is a lot of pain. I do not recall any trauma to my ankle such as twisting my ankle in anyway. Any ideas what may be going on. The pain subsides when my foot is elevated and still.
It could be a contusion only. As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief. You can apply ice packs for faster recovery. If symptoms persists better to consult an orthopedics and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
