Hello,

This sudden pain and swelling in the knees could be related to torn ligaments, most probably if you've been engaged in heavy physical activity.

What worries me is that both your arms are giving pain but not specifically and no swelling. It might be due to physical activity you've been engaged recently. However, should rule out arthritis attack and determine the type of arthritis:
- autoimmune
- or toxic from inhaling or consuming anything new recently.

So, better check with orthopedic specialist, run X-ray of the joints and MRI if a specialist is ok. Arthritis testing should be run including rheumatoid factor, CRP, ERS, complete blood count, ASLO, etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
