Hi, my name is Ada and I work in the business office at a high school. Its happened, I believe twice , that I m driving and suddenly I m at a certain place but do not remember getting there. There was another time where I had to be singing my name every two minutes because I had to sign my name on the students clear out paperwork and suddenly I could not write the d in my name. It s like my hand would get stuck.
Memory loss can be a sign of Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia also. But when it comes on quickly, it's often because of other things. Many of these causes are treatable.
Check if you are on some medications. Some medicines cause short term memory loss Do you sleep proper? Less sleep is also a cause of it. Nutritional deficiency also cause it. Taking high quality proteins and fats is important for proper brain functioning. Deficiencies of vitamin B1 and B12 specifically can affect memory.
However I would advise you to check with your practitioner.
Thanks Dr. Tripat Mehta
