Hello and welcome to HCM, A diagnosis of crohns disease and positive occult blood suggest is that the cause of low hemoglobin is chronic blood loss from gastrointestinal tract. The cause of blood loss is crohns disease. Blood transfusion can be given for the sudden fall in hemoglobin. Iron supplements can also be given for iron loss. However, the definite treatment of the condition is treatment of crohns disease. Crohns disease is a chronic disease with relapsing and remitting course. Treatment will lead to achievement of remitting state. Consult your gastroenterologist for further management.
