What Causes Sudden Behavioural Changes While On Seroquel For Bipolar Disorder?

My grandson is on this medicine for biopolar which is seroquel xr. And since he have been on it his mood and behavior have change. Things that he was not doing before. Like agiated, talking more to hisself, and talking third person. I don t think that this medicine is helping I think that it is doing more harm than good. Please advise.
