What Causes Strong Vaginal Odor While On Tampon?

I forgot about a tampon....it had been in my vagina since Friday....I could not understand what the strange odor was & then it dawned on me about that I could have left my tampon in. I have removed the tampon & now what should I do? Have a created a horrible infection? Should I see a dr in the morning? I am a clean freak & totally losing my mind.

Hello
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Odor and discharge from vaginal can be fungal infection. Tampon users are more exposed to various infections when compared to sanitary pad users.
Consider seeing a doctor to get examined and tested for infection, the earlier the treatment is initiated the easier to treat.
Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
