What Causes Strong Sweat Smell To A 3 Year Old?

my 3 year old boy sweats during the night to the point that his sheets and pillow are soaked. its a really stong like vinegar smell. he is bathed daily and i have to wash his bed sheets almost daily too as it is such a strong smell. is this normal?
