What Causes Stomach Pain?

Hi doctor, for the last few weeks I have am being woken up by sudden weird shooting pains in my stomach and a weird feelings as well that something going through my stomach. However i have always checked the milk date or the bread date that I had eaten prior to my sleep and they are 2 or 3 days off date. for example last night I had some pitta bread with avocado pouree, was woken up at 9am with this feeling, I would like to know is the expired food to blame? or is this a health problem? it only has taken place when I accidentally eat these out of date products however reassurance would help me great.

Hello,

It may be due to lactose intolerance or gastritis. There can be many causes for pain abdomen and if it is mild, then do not worry. Avoid spicy food and alcohol. Use tablet Nexium before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved, please consult your physician he or she will examine and treat you accordingly.
