What Causes Stomach Pain And Cramps?

I have been getting pains in my stomach for about the past 4 months that come from my back around to my stomach. Its a tightening cramping feeling. Almost like contractions but not pregnant. It comes and goes and doesnt happen every day. When it does happen it happens after I eat. But again its not every time and the pain last anywhere from an hour or 2. What could it be? Very painful when it comes!!!!!!

Hello,
Thank you for using healthcare magic.

The way you describe your pain, is suggestive of stomach or gallbladder origin of it.
You need to go into further examinations such as abdominal ultrasound and fibrogastroscopy ( a tube that sees you stomach from inside).
You need to do some lab investigation too, such as full blood count, hepatic emzymes ( total bilirubine + fraxionated, GOT, GPT, GGT, ALP).
Meanwhile you may begin to take a drug that belongs to PPI drugs such as Omeprazol, Pantoprazole, Esomeprazole etc. For example Omeprazole 40 mg, twice a day, morning and evening 30 minutes before food.
Try to avoid spicy, frightened and grassy food.

Hope this may be helpful for you.
If you need any further explanations, please feel free to contact me.
