What Causes Stomach Cramping Along With Blood In Stools?
this week I had terrible,terrible cramps in my stomach, falling to the floor in my bedroom before I could get to the toilet, I was dizzy, cramping with pain in my stomach and very clammy, I finally after that got to the toilet and had diahrea badly and to may dismay found when I wiped my bottom there was quite a bit of dark red blood on the toilet paper the colour a kidney colour I then went straight to bed as I still felt very unwell and still had pains in my stomach, I have had conctipation for months now but now every time I use my bowels this dark red blood is there, should I be concerned and maybe see a doctor?

thank you for asking your concern and welcome to hcm. loose motions with blood is mostly a bacterial dysentery i would suggest you
tablet norfloxacin 400 mg twice daily for atleast 5 days
and ORS, pour one liter packet in 1 liter of water and drink as much as you can. you have to take atleast one glass of ors with each stool, do not let yourself dehydrated. clean hands before each meals and after every stool properly with soap or handwash. if you can not drink or having vomiting also then you have to consult a doctor.
as you are saying you had constipation for months and then this dysentery this history is significant. if you have recent changed bowel habits then i strongly suggest you to see a surgeon for evaluation.
