What Causes Stinging Pain Below The Kneecap?

Every now and then I have stinging pain just below the knee cap Like a bee sting. It goes away as quick as it comes. A couple of days ago though it lasted several minutes. I called a PT I know and she had me take 600mg ibuprofen and it was fine afterward.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, of course with the Ibuprofen pain would be subsided but underlying cause of this need to be known and infection is matter of concern I would advise to get done the blood test and x-ray of knee joint try to bend the joint, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
