Hello,

Where is the injury? any fractures? I think you have injured median nerve which is lead to weakness of muscle of the thumb.

We have to know what is the severity of nerve injury we have to confirm by nerve conduction studies. is it Neuropraxia is recovering easily or neurotmesis or axonotmesis may take time.

Use vitamin b12 and folic acid for nerve support. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
