What Causes Stiffness In The Legs After Sitting For A Long Time?

I am having troubles bending at the waist, when i am in a laying position i cannot sit up, and after sitting for a period of time my legs are stiff for about 20 seconds. What can be the issue? I have seen chiropractic help, massage therapy, dry needling, and acupuncture.

Hello,

It is possible that you are having arthritis and you need to get a few blood tests done to rule it out.

I would advise you to get a RA factor and ESR done. Also get your calcium and vitamin d levels done as deficiency of these can also cause pain and stiffness in joints.

Consult an orthopaedician for further course of action. Meanwhile, do light stretching exercises and you can also take an over the counter painkiller like Advil to relieve pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
