What Causes Stiffness And Swelling In The Hands And Feet?

Hi. I have been experiencing many symptoms. Last week I had a fever of 101, body aches, dizziness, and headache, that has gotten better but now my feet and hands are stiff and swollen and earlier my whole body got a rash and felt like it was burning. I had labs drawn when I went into the walk in and my WBCs were low and my liver enzymes were high. I havent taken any new meds or ate any different foods. Negative for strep, flu, and pneumonia

Hello,

Rash with generalized edema with elevated liver enzymes may be due to
1.Dengue fever with shock.
2. Malarial fever with hepatitis
3. Acute viral (hepatitis A, E, CMV), Bacterial (listeria, legionella, leptospirosis, typhus fevers), sepsis or acute liver failure etcetera. Until complete examination, is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
