What Causes Spreading Of Bruise Under Toenail?

Yes I have a question. About 4 momths ago I noticed what look to be a bruise under my nail bed on my rigjt big toe. But, it has not went away. It is a brown spot that looks to have spread. It was not due to any injury. And it does not hurt. Could it be melanoma? I know its rare but, could it be a hidden melanoma? I know that only 2% of cacausians get this type of skin cancer. And because its in a rare place its harder to detect early on. And can spread to other parts of the body. What do you think?

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
you might be having a low platelet count and hence you are developing these bruises.
Get your platelet levels, bleeding and clotting time checked.
Sometimes spontaneous bruising might be associated with dangerous systemic conditions.
I suggest you to get a thorough check up done.
Usually it takes around 2 weeks for the bruise to heal,
you can use oint thrombophobe to get a faster relief.
A photograph would have helped me better.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
