2 weeks ago i was drunk and i fell down on a chair and hit my ribs, i did end up get a bump on it i figured it was just a normal bump it doesnt hurt or anything now but just checked it myself and it feels like its splitting up to 2 - 3 pieces like i got 3 loose bumps there now i dont know how to explain it hopefully you will understand, i wounder if this is normal that a bump splits up to other bumps like this?
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you are having rib injury (hair crack or fracture) due eto fall. Since ribs are bony structure healing occurs by callus formation. Callus is the type of healing occur in flat bones. It is due to calcium deposition at the site of injury. Callus gives appearance and feeling of lump. So the lump, you are feeling is mostly callus due to healing. But better to get it checked by 1. Chest x ray 2. Ultrasound examination of local part. If it is callus than no need to worry much. This is normal healing.
