Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a strong pulsing or fluttering in the left leg at the location of the femoral artery, sporadically for the past 3 weeks but more persistent today. It was more prominent when I m sitting but today it is while standing and bearing weight on both legs. Concurrently in the last 3 days, I have had a chronic nerve pain in the left leg which generates from the glutes and continues down the leg. It sometimes crosses just under the patella and sometimes radiates to the top of the left foot. The nerve pain is persistent if I am sitting. The (femoral) pulse is strong such that it surprises me when it starts.

What Causes Spasms In The Left Leg?
Hello, As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist you can consult a general surgeon and plan for vascular Doppler. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
