the roof of my mouth is sore as if it had been burned and my glands are swollen. there is no noticeable sores or redness. I also notice that my glands on the right side of my neck are swollen and sore. They are movable on palpitation as I have had swollen glands before. what could causing this. I thought is was from the tart candy I ate last week
As per your complain soreness of roof of the mouth along with burnt feeling and swollen glands can be due to infection in the roof of the mouth and throat leading to inflammation..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like oral swab culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now start gargling with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine.. Do cool compresses over the palate.. Drink plenty of water and take a soft diet..
Hope this helps..
