What Causes Soreness And Swelling In Vagina?

Hi I have a very sore and swollen vulva. On my labia minora I have what looks like a flat dark red blood blister. I am itching and sore and feel like I need to pee all the time. I have been married for 15 years and in this time have had no sexual partner other than my husband. What could this be?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

From what you have said, it looks like acute genital ulcer or vulvitis. Sometimes, it occurs just before a period or after. Change your under garments, wash regularly with warm and cold water. Use of some topical cream will relieve all these symptoms. Kindly consult your gynecologist to have a look on the lesion so that they will prescribe accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana Rajesh Babu, OB & GYN Specialist
