What Causes Soreness And Congestion In Nose After An Injury?

A week ago my dog tripped me and I landed on my face and my nose was injured. No bruising and only slight bleeding after the injury. Now after a week later my nose is still very sore, I have a lot of congestion , and I feel lightheaded at times. I thought since there was no bruising that I did not break my nose. Could I have broken my nose?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.

See, it is unlikely that you have broken your nose. Otherwise there would have been swelling etc. Still get an X-ray nasal bone lateral view done to rule out fracture. Apply xylometazoline eye drops twice daily for 5 days.

Get back to me with the reports.
Hope this was helpful.
Regards
