What Causes Sore Throat And Difficulty In Swallowing While Suffering From Flu?

65 Yr old male, non smoker, 6 1 220 pounds. diagnosed with Type A Flu 24 days ago. Took Tamiflu and mostly got over flu symptoms, although my seasonal allergies have been pretty active. Three days ago my throat began to feel bad and now can hardly swallow. My wife and I spent the last ten days out in Phoenix helping with a new grandbaby. Usually when I am out at Phoenix my allergies get better. Anyways, those are my symptoms. Live way out in the country about one hour away from clinic.

I suggest a Prick test for detecting allergic tendencies. You may have allergy to product for babies (powder etc.). You can benefit from anti-allergic medications like Allegra, Fexadine or Avil. But before taking these medications, you must do the Prick test. Because these medications may mask your existing allergies and cause wrong results.

May you recover soon
