Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat along with persistent cough, well these symptoms are due to upper respiratory tract infection due to poor immunity of body and change in environment.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to

- Do warm saline gargles 2-3 times a day.

- Take steam inhalation twice a day.

- Take paracetamol for fever and headache.

- sore throat along with persistent cough

- Avoid intake of outside food and cold carbonated beverages.

Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxiclav at least for 10 days along with decongestant. Doctor may order test like swab test , blood test , and proper history to rule out condition like acid reflux and strep throat.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
