What Causes Sore And Tender Spot On Head When Pressure Is Applied?

I have a sore and tender spot on my head when pressure is applied. Any pressure at all - washing hair, combing, scratch, or even slightly pushing the area. It feels like a bruise but I can feel that the sensation is inside, not on my scalp. I have had this pain for over a month now.

Hi,

First, I need to know if you have had any trauma in your head prior to feeling pain.

Next, do you suffer of chronic diseases like arthritis? If yes, it is common to have such types of pain. Spondyloarthrosis can also cause such pain (tension-like pain).

If you are also having problems with your eyesight, then, you might have such feeling. Further evaluations by ophtalmologist is advised.

If the pain won't subside after taking oral pain killers (e.g. paracetamol, ibuprofen, etc.), I highly recommend to consult with neurologist for further evaluations and specific treatment you might need.

All the best!
