What Causes Sore And Blocked Throat?
hi doctor, i have been smoking and doing chewing tobacco i noticed in the morning that i had a problem in my throat, i could hardly drink or eat something it feels like something is stuck in my throat i was thinking is this an harmful sign iv'e been having it for 2 days it feels like theirs pimpils on the right side of my tonsil but the left one seems ok

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms ofsore and blocked throat. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to viral infection or viral pharyngitis. Avoid intake of fast food and spicy food. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles several times a day , drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test and blood test . Doctor may prescribe antiviral like acyclovir , anti inflammatory along with drug like sucralfate to heal throat lining in severe cases . You should keep sipping warm water. Doctor may also recommend tonsillectomy.
