What Causes Sneezing And Running Nose Early In The Morning?

Dear Doctor, I am 28 years old, 5.6' height and 70 kgs. I have this problem in the mornings once I wake up I start sneezing a lot (say about 20-30) and bit of running nose. After 1-2 hours, it would be fine for rest of the day. Please suggest what kind of specialist should I visit for this. Thanks-Srinivas

Hello,

Probably, you may be suffering from seasonal allergy in winter night and early morning temperature may down may induce allergic reaction ,histamine release and sneezing.

Any itch mites at bed or animal dander may induce home allergy. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water. Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling at night may helpful.

Use tablet Monterleukast and Levocetirizine drugs at night for one week. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
