What Causes Sneezing And Low Lying Placenta During 15 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

I m about 15 weeks pregnant. At my last u/s (about 13 weeks GA) I was informed I have a low lying placenta. Was put on restrictions and told to repeat u/s @ 20 wks. I have severe allergies and am sneezing violently, frequently. Question is: can such sneezing jeopardize my placenta in any way?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The sneezing usually cannot affect pregnancy or your low lying placenta.

You need to follow doctor's instructions and avoid strenous activities because of low lying placenta.

You need to repeat ultrasonography investigation repeatedly according to your doctor advise.

Hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
