What Causes Small Lumps On The Legs?

4 year old has a knot on his shin...it is not painful to him and feels hard/fatty ...he has smaller knots on his other leg. I had it checked by his pediatrician, and she said to just watch it. It seems to be bigger on the one leg now and I am so worried.
