Hi. For the last couple of months I have noticed some small spots around my anus. The skin around seems to be a bit swollen and has gone a darker colour. The spots are quite itchy but not painful. I ve never had unsafe sex so I don t think it can be genital warts. Can anyone help me?
These itchy dark spots around the anus could either fungal infection or traumatic swellings but I can't say surely only on the basis of descriptions only.
It requires clinical examination around the anus to arrive at a certain diagnosis.
However, you can apply corticosteroid cream like clobetasol with antiallergic like cetrizine to get some relief.
The definitive treatment will be based on the underlying diagnosis.
In my advice you should consult general surgeon who will inspect the lesion and start the treatment.
